The story of Brownwood Acres and FruitFast^® is as much a part of the rolling orchard land of Northwest Michigan as the very fruit they use in their core product line. Two well-established and respected fruit-based companies that came together to become a leading global fruit supplement manufacturer and supplier.

Brownwood's marketing, branding and business vision, coupled with FruitFast's orchard, processing and manufacturing savvy, cement this union.

Over four generations Brownwood Acres has developed an internationally recognized product line based on this regional harvest. Since 1945, the deTar Family has guided their business from a roadside market to delivering the power of fruit to the world. Today, FruitFast Montmorency Tart Cherry Juice has earned the rank of America's #1 Best Selling Tart Cherry Concentrate.

FruitFast can trace its history to the Underwood Family that for 40 years grew cherries at the base of the Old Mission Peninsula near Traverse City, Michigan. It was this experience that would later lead to development of the world's original fruit softgel made from whole fruit, first introduced to the nutraceutical market in 1999.

By using whole fruit - including the pulp and skin - in a chemical-free process with no preservatives or fillers - Brownwood Acres/ FruitFast has been able to capture the goodness of the entire fruit.

It is this process that gives the company a product line unmatched in the world market.

Preserving the healthful benefits of whole fruit has led to the development of a growing family of fruit supplements. Ongoing research, development and testing will assure this preservation and access year round to the goodness of whole fruit.
