FruitFast^® Softgels vs. Powder Pills

The early forerunner to FruitFast Softgels were powder pills. In fact, our company was among the first to incorporate freeze dried and/or drum dried fruit powders into a vegetable capsule. But performance expectations and bioavailability levels (the measure of how quickly and effectively the body absorbs a substance) were not satisfactory, so the company abandoned the powder pills and eventually formulated their new exclusive process, taking the technology to a higher level.

Fruit powder pills remove available moisture and volatile natural solvents using a high vacuum extraction procedure. This results in a powder that has a high degree of hygroscopicity (water absorption quality) that causes powders to be incapable of fully dissolving into a liquid. After ingestion, the initial addition of moisture results in a high viscosity, or thick shell, that forms on the outside of the powder mass and essentially leaves the remainder of the material incapable of being utilized. What phytochemicals remain are not released and are inaccessible to digestion and absorption.

Unlike powder pills, FruitFast Softgels are not void of all the moisture and natural solvents. Due to protective procedures taken during the FruitFast production process, FruitFast Softgels are capable of delivering a full complement of phytochemicals under normal digestion conditions in a highly bio-available form, making the whole fruits’ properties easily absorbed into the system.
