Black Raspberry Joins the Family

Tuesday, September 30th, 2008

Here’s a startling factoid:

If the average American were to fully meet the USDA recommendations for fruit consumption – 2 cups a day – they would need to increase their daily fruit intake by 132 percent!

Now that’s a clear message that most of us need to be eating more fruit.

It’s one reason why FruitFast has added a brand new fruit supplement to our line of leading whole fruit softgels.

We are pleased to welcome Black Raspberry to our family of softgel products!

Adding this not-so-easy-to-find berry to our family of dark-skinned fruits seemed like an easy decision, and it was. Red Tart Cherries, Wonderful Pomegranates, Wild Blueberries and now – Black Raspberry softgels provide a full spectrum of fruits with naturally-occurring antioxidants. Just as our slogan says on every bottle…“Delivering the Power of Fruit.”

As a company, we are dedicated to producing superior, value-added fruit products that are healthy, convenient and bio-available.

Grown in Oregon, our Black Raspberries fit all of these criteria, plus this variety of delectable berry also contains phytonutrients; each Black Raspberry softgel capsule has 70 mg of Anthocyanins and 60 mg of ellagic acid.

But probably the only information you need to focus on is why these softgels should become part of your daily regimen.

The answer is simple: Black Raspberries support healthy cardiovascular function* and are a source of ellagic acid for a healthy immune system.*

As an introductory offer, FruitFast Black Raspberry Softgels are just $14.95 for a 60-count bottle for a limited time. Another perfect opportunity to up your fruit enjoyment…and do your health a favor at the same time.

BAT 11 Makes Traverse City Debut

Wednesday, September 17th, 2008

This week we’ve got cars on the mind. But not just any cars.

As we’ve shared before, Janet and I have been involved for years with the
National Cherry Festival. And through that association, have met some
incredible people. These are people who give back, time and time again, and
are totally selfless. One of them is Dr. Gary Kaberle, a local dentist here
for 33 years or so. His daughter Kelli was a National Cherry Festival
Queen, and Gary has been a volunteer and on the festival board for years as
well as donating thousands of photos in his role as amateur shooter—a top
notch one!

But back to cars.

In addition to all this, Gary’s passion is cars. But not just any kind. As a teenager growing up in Evart, Michigan, he purchased his first B.A.T. 9 model (a legendary Italian design built on an Alfa Romeo Sprint chassis). He did that with funding from his grandmother and popcorn-stand sales.

Over the years, he accumulated other B.A.T. models, all of which were sold several years ago to help fund medical treatment for his wife Debbie, who
ultimately died from breast cancer.

The past few years have rekindled Gary’s interest in the B.A.T. 11 car. And
last month at the 30th annual Meadow Brook Concourse d’Elegance (Troy, MI),
Gary’s B.A.T. 11 prototype made its debut.

Working with an Italian design and fabrication team, Gary’s prototype turned
out to be one of the hits of Meadow Brook, an international car show that
draws top collectors and thousands of car enthusiasts and visitors.

guys.jpgFor the past two weeks, the car has been on display in our locally based Hagerty Insurance building. And not surprisingly, it has been a traffic stopper. That’s Gary and I (left) standing by his prototype BAT in Hagerty’s “Drum” showroom.

But even more important is that Gary is calling this project “Dreams and Design for a Cure.” It’s in honor of his late wife. And any funds above expenses that might result from the display or actual production of B.A.T. II will go to fund breast cancer research.

Here in the GT Bay region, we’re awfully proud of Gary.
Maybe now you can tell why.

Let us know what you think of the car or share whatever else is on your mind.
