Cherry Juice: Concentrate on This

Thursday, March 26th, 2009

What’s all the hullabaloo when it comes to tart cherry juice concentrate and CherryFlex® for health?

fruitfast_tart_cherry_juice_concentrateWell, this is an easy one. There are many needed antioxidants in a one-ounce serving of Montmorency Tart Cherry Juice Concentrate. Some antioxidants, such as melatonin, are more available in Montmorency tart cherries, than in any other fruit juice concentrate on the market.  Antioxidants are possibly the most important aspect of any diet.  These microscopic scavengers attack countless threatening and inevitable problems to our health today and should be taken very seriously.

How do I know these Cherry Juice products are so important, where’s the pudding?

Good question. Let’s take a look at a clinical study on CherryFlex® to see what the researchers at Winona State University have found. Please click here: The Effect Of Antioxidant Cherryflex® Supplementation On Exercise Induced Doms, Biomarkers Of Tissue Damage, And Oxidative Stress.

What is the difference between the Cherry pastes in our CherryFlex® products and the tart cherry juice concentrate?

Our CherryFlex® paste is a proprietary product that is currently used in our CherryFlex® Fruit Bars, CherryFlex® Liquid Fruit Supplements and our CherryFlex® Softgel Supplements.  This paste is made from the whole tart cherry fruit (excluding the pit) and includes the all- important skins, where most of the antioxidants abound.  If you look for example at our CherryFlex® Certificate of Analysis, you’ll find a complete list of all the integral health aspects.  No other company in the Cherry industry publishes this type of information.  Hmmm…I find this most interesting.

CherryFlex Liquid Fruit SupplementIs your CherryFlex® or Cherry Juice Concentrate heated?

The lab director at Atlas-BioScience governs and tests all our manufacturing practices, allowing us to keep the antioxidants closely guarded.  All be it expensive, I can assure you this is the only way to guaranteed of true quality.

Our Cherry Juice Concentrate, and all fruit juice concentrates must be pasteurized. At FruitFast, we only flash pasteurize our concentrates using a vacuum type of heat exposure.  This is the mildest form of pasteurization possible.  Take it from me, if you consume too much concentrate on an empty stomach, you’ll fast realize the products are “alive and well.”  In a nutshell, our manufacturing practices far surpass expectations and without question are the key to our success and quite possibly the key to your happiness.

In hopes this helps to answer some of our most commonly heard questions, we encourage you to call for more information – toll free 1-877-591-3101 -  and promise a smiling voice and excellent customer service!

National Nutrition Month

Monday, March 16th, 2009

March is National Nutrition Month, a nutrition education and information campaign created annually by the American Dietetic Association.  The campaign focuses attention on the importance of making informed food choices and developing sound eating and physical activity habits.

signThe ADA recommends using these three points when developing a healthy eating plan:

  • Emphasize fruit, vegetables, whole grains and low-fat or fat-free milk and milk products
  • Include lean meats, poultry, fish, beans, eggs and nuts.
  • Choose foods low in saturated fats, trans fats, cholesterol, salt (sodium) and added sugars.

Be sure to have variety in your diet, too.  FruitFast offers many fruits that can help balance your diet.  Whether it’s dried fruit, softgels, concentrates, or fruit bars, there is an option that will meet your needs and round out your nutritious eating plan.

A Personal Check

Friday, March 13th, 2009

Here’s a test for you.  We all have heard how we need to eat more fruits and vegetables. Some measure by the servings, saying you should eat at least five servings daily.  Others calculate the needed amount of fruit and vegetables by the cup measure.

Either way, are you getting enough?  Do you really know for sure?  Why not take the next few days and track how much you’re actually consuming? At the end of each day, count the servings you’ve had of each.  What could be replaced during the day with a fruit or vegetable instead of some empty calories?

Here’s a suggestion that will help make the switch to better nutrition.  Instead of that handful of pretzels for a snack mid-day, grab a FruitFast CherryFlex Bar.   Each FruitFast CherryFlex bar has TWO servings of fruit. The bars are also available in Wild Blueberry, Pomegranate and Mixed Berry.  Each bar provides the nutritional equivalent of eating one whole apple and one serving of that particular bar’s fruit.

The bars offer an excellent alternative to the traditional calorie-laden, empty nutritional value snack. And to top it off, you won’t have to question your choices anymore, wondering if you’ve had enough fruits for the day…you’ll know you have the right answer.  It’s a test worth taking!

Blueberries Boast Benefits

Monday, March 9th, 2009

While blueberries have been known as a “Super Fruit” for quite some time, their positive impacts for healthy living continue to be uncovered.  A new study from Ohio State University regarding children and blueberries has shown some very positive findings. According to the results, mice fed blueberries had a much better outcome in overall health and lifespan than mice that were not fed the dark-skinned berries.

Research has shown that blueberries can be a vital tool in the aging battle.  A source of phytonutrients, wild blueberries have been classified as one of 10 Power Foods and are called Nature’s #1 Antioxidant Super fruit by the Wild Blueberry Association of North America.  Called “Miracle Berries” by Prevention Magazine, “Super Food” by Health Magazine, and “Fruit of the Year” by Eating Well Magazine, these little berries are certainly making big news.

That’s why we are happy to say FruitFast offers many blueberry products including bars, concentrate, softgels and dried blueberries.  During the month of March, FruitFast is offering quarts of Wild Blueberry Juice Concentrate for $28.95, a $10 savings.  Similarly, pints of Wild Blueberry Juice Concentrate are selling for $14.95, a $5 savings.

We are calling it a “Beat the Blues” special during the month of March.  Don’t delay – contact us today!
